I wish to honor the memory of my wife, Charlotte McKee, Nov.22, 1932 - April 8, 2016, with whom I would have celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary on June 20, 2016 had she not succumbed to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
I invite contributions from my friends, family members, and interested parties in the form of checks made payable to "Alzheimer's San Diego" and mailed to:

I am now 70, and the expected numbers of Alzheimer's victims will simply explode as we Boomers make our way into the 2020's, 2030's, and beyond. Unlike nearly every other endemic disease on the planet, there is no known effective treatment or cure for Alzheimer's. Some day, people like Charlotte, and their loved ones, may not have to suffer this devastating disease; won't you please mail in a contribution to make this day draw nearer?
ABOUT Charlotte's Ride
I wish to carry forward the hope she placed in Alzheimer's San Diego for the cure through its sponsored research which she will not live to see; toward this end, I am commencing a Trans-America bicycle ride from San Diego, California to Yorktown, Virginia by way of El Paso, Austin, Baton Rouge, Natchez, Tupelo; and Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, finally ending in Yorktown, Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay.
